On 07 July 2018, the Istana Nurul Iman Palace, the Brunei Darussalam, Mr. Phonethavy Boutdara presented the Letter of Credentials to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to serve as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to the Brunei Darussalam.
On 11 July 2018 at the Government House in Canberra, Mr. Sisavath INPHACHANH presented the Letter of Credentials to His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia to serve as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to the Commonwealth of Australia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a workshop on the international obligations and national laws of the Lao PDR related to the media, on 28 June 2018, in Vientiane. The workshop was chaired by Mr. Phoukhong Sisoulath, Director-General of the Department of Treaties and Law, and attended by representatives of concerned ministries, news agencies and development partners.
