Your Excellency,
I am deeply saddened to learn about the string of bombings in the Catholic Churches and Hotels in Sri Lanka on 21 April 2019, which has caused tremendous loss of lives of innocent people and left many wounded.
On behalf of the Lao Government and the people, I would like to express our deepest condolences and sympathies to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Sri Lanka, particularly to the families of the victims in this tragic incident.
The Lao PDR strongly condemns this terror act and stands with international community in the fight against terrorism in all its forms in order to maintain peace, stability and securityin the region and the world.
I am confident that under Your Excellency’ leadership, the government and people of Sri Lanka will be able to overcome such difficulties and soon restore the situation to normalcy.
