          On the occasion of the 65^th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, I would like to extend on behalf of the Lao people and on my own behalf, my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency and through Your Excellency to the Myanmar people greater success and prosperity for the cause of national development.

          I am truly delighted to note that over the past 65 years, the traditional friendly relations and the neighborly close cooperation between our two countries and peoples have been enhanced in various fields, thus bringing about tangible benefits to our two peoples, Laos and Myanmar.

I am strongly convinced that under the close guidance of the leaders of our two countries, the time-honored friendly ties, the close cooperation and mutual trust will be further strengthened thus contributing to peace, stability and cooperation for development in the region and the world at large.
