Message of Sympathy regarding to the flooding and landslides triggered in Leyte Province of the Philippines

Excellency,

 

        I have learned of the recent severe flooding and landslides triggered by the tropical storm Agaton in Leyte Province of the Philippines, causing great loss of lives and properties to the Filipino people living in the area.

 

       On behalf of the Government and people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and on my own behalf, I would like to convey my profound condolences and deep sympathy through Your Excellency to the Government and the Filipino people, particularly to the families of the victims affected by this natural disaster.

 

      I am confident that under intensive effort by the Government, the Filipino people will be able to overcome this difficult time and restore the affected areas by this natural calamity to normalcy soon.
