On October 18-19, 2018, Mr.Saleumxay Kommasith, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR,attended the 12th Asia- Europe Meeting (ASEM12) in Brussels, Belgium under the theme “Global Partners for Global Challenges”
Presented at the meeting were Head of States and Governments or their high-level representatives of 51 Asian and European countries, the President of the European Commission and Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
During the meeting, Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith, delivered his speech, emphasized that “ASEM should intensively enhanced its cooperation, particularly in the fields of connectivity economic cooperation in order to narrow the development gap among the member countries”.
On the sideline to the meeting, Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith also had bilateral meetings with his counterparts from EU, Australia and Hungary respectively.
