Excellency,

On behalf of the People of Laos and on my own behalf, I would like to convey my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency and the entire friendly people of Singapore on the occasion of the 53^rd Anniversary of National Day of the Republic of Singapore.

I am very delighted to note that the existing long-standing friendship and close cooperation between our two countries have been enhanced in numerous areas, as evident in the regular exchanges of high-ranking visits at various levels, including my recent State Visit to the Republic of Singapore in May 2018. I am confident that such friendly relations and good cooperation between our two countries will be further enhanced in the years to come.

On this occasion, I would like to, once again, express my sincere thanks to Your Excellency, the Government and people of Singapore for valuable assistance extended to the Lao people, particularly the bereaved families of the victims affected by the natural disaster in Xanamxay District, Attapeu province.

May I wish Your Excellency good health and greater success in your noble tasks.
