Excellency,

          I am deepest saddened to learn about the tragic earthquakes and tsunami that struck the Central Sulawesi, Indonesia on the 28^th September 2018, causing loss of lives and extensive damage to properties of Indonesian people.

          On behalf of the Government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the entire Lao people as well as on my own behalf, I would like to convey my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Your Excellency, the Government and People of Republic of Indonesia, especially the victims and affected families.

          I am confident that under the leadership of Your Excellency, the Government and People of Indonesia will be able to overcome the difficulties of this disaster and restore the affected area to normalcy.

        On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR and on my own behalf, I would like to express my deepest sympathy and condolences through Your Excellency to the Government and the People of Indonesia, particularly to the families of the victims affected by the tragic disaster.
    
        I strongly believe that under the leadership of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia the rescue operations will succeed in saving lives and the affected area will be restored to normalcy soon.
