President of the Republic of Singapore Tony Tan Keng Yam, his spouse, and delegation of senior officials arrived in Vientiane Capital on Wednesday for a three-day visit in response to an invitation by his host counterpart Bounnhang Vorachit.
Upon his arrival at Wattay International Airport, the visiting President was greeted by Minister of Health Bounkong Sihavong, along with other relevant senior officials of the two countries.
The objective of his visit is to further strengthen cooperation and relations between Laos and Singapore.
The visiting president is expected to have a bilateral meeting with President Bounnhang at the Presidential Palace in Vientiane Capital on Thursday. Senior officials of both sides will also be present at the meeting.
Singapore’s President also listed in his visit schedule his visit to the University of Health Sciences and Luang Prabang Province.
