On September 26, 2018, On behalf of the Party and State, The Lao delegation led by Mr. Phankham Viphavanh, Vice President of the Lao PDR, attended the wreath-laying ceremony and signed a condolence book in Hanoi, Vietnam. On the same day, Vice President Phankham Viphavanh and his delegation also paid a courtesy call on Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong General Secretary of the Communist party of Vietnam.
On Setember 27, 2018, Lao delegation attended Memorial services on the passing away of former President Tran Dai Quang.
