ASEAN Member States strongly condemn the suicide bomb attacks in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey on 28 June 2016 thatkilled and wounded many people.
ASEAN expresses its deepsympathies and condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of Turkey and to the families of the victims.
ASEANconveys its support to the efforts taken by the Turkish Government in combatting terrorism and in finding those responsible for this violent attack.
ASEAN reiterates its strong commitment to working closely with the international community in the fight against terrorism, extremism and radicalism in all its forms and manifestations, regardless of their motivation, wherever, whenever and by whomsoever it is committed.

ASEAN strongly condemns the worst mass shooting incident that occurred in Orlando, the United States of America (U.S.A.) on 13 June 2016, which killed and injured many people.
ASEAN FOREIGN MINISTERS’ STATEMENT ON THE RECENT EARTHQUAKES

ASEAN Member States are saddened by the recent earthquakes that occurred in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ecuador, India, Japan, Myanmar, Nepal and Pakistan which caused a number of deaths and numerous injuries, and damage to properties.
ASEAN expresses its deep sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Governments and peoples of the affected countries, especially the families of the victims of the earthquakes.
ASEAN stands ready to extend its cooperation and support in whatever way it can in contributing to the efforts of the Governments and peoples of the affected countries to go through this difficult time and bring about a speedy recovery.
