Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Kommasith will pay an official visit to the Republic of the Philippines on Jul 13-14, 2017 at the invitation of his Filipino counterpart Alan Peter Schramm Cayetano. The visit to the Philippines by Foreign Minister Saleumxay Kommasith is expected to further strengthen the relations and cooperation between Laos and the Philippines.

During the visit, Mr Saleumxay will pay a courtesy call on Philippines President Rodrigo Duturte and meet his Filipino counterpart. He will also attend the Inaugural Meeting of Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation.

While in Philippines, Foreign Minister Saleumxay will meet the Philippines-Lao Chamber of Commerce and Industry and attend a Forum at the Foreign Service Institute of the Philippines.
