Deputy Prime Minister receives WHO Director General
Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy visit of Dr. Shin Young-son, WHO Director General of Asia-Pacific region on June 2 and he is on a five day working visit to Laos. .
On this occasion, Dr. Thongloun expressed congratulation to Dr. Shin Young-son, an opportunity he have selected to be the new WHO Director General in the Asia-Pacific Western region.
Dr. Thongloun thanked Dr. Shin for showing so much concern to the public health sector of Laos and for increasing the donation to this country.
The donation, he said had contributed to an improvement in the health of the people of this country.
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that this working visit would lead to further cooperation between Laos and WHO.
