Bangkok strengthens ties with Vientiane

 Thailand’s Bangkok Mayor, Mr Apirak Kosayothin, his wife and delegation have paid an official working visit to Vientiane Capital in response to the invitation of Vientiane Mayor, Mr. Sinlavong Khoutphaitoune.

During the visit between 10-12 June 2008, the delegation of Vientiane and Bangkok held their bilateral meeting to promote the co-operation in many areas namely tourism, education, public health, labour and lesson exchange. The delegation of Bangkok also visited some basic economic establishments in Vientiane.

Arriving here, Mr. Apirak and his delegation were warmly welcomed by Vice Mayor of Vientiane Capital, Mr Somvandy Nathavong, and Thai Ambassador to Laos, Mr. Wiboon Khusakul.
