Prime Minister to attend debate on future of Asia
Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh and high-ranking Lao government officials will attend the 15th International Conference on “The Future of Asia” in Tokyo, Japan, form May 21-22, the Prime Minister’s office has announced.
The meeting will be attended by political leaders including heads of government and top business executives from Asia, to discuss their various opinions and outlooks for the region.
The main topic of this year’s conference is “Asia Confronting Challenges-Pursuit of New Frontiers”.
Participants will focus on how Asia can find new source of economic growth. It is suggested building infrastructure in underdeveloped countries in the region and development of environmental and other new businesses will provide opportunities for growth.
Participants will also discus how best to take advantage of such opportunities and ultimately find a way out of the financial downturn.
