NA President visits Vietnam
A high ranking delegation of the National Assembly led by its President Mr. Thongsing Thammavong visited the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from 20-25 July 2009.
During his stay in Hanoi, Mr. Thongsing Thammavong paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, Chairman of the Vietnam National Assembly where the two sides informed each other on their respective situation. The Vietnamese side highly evaluated progress made in the social-economic development in Laos over the past few years.
At the talk, Mr. Thongsing Thammavong also expressed congratulations for the great achievements recorded by Vietnamese people during the past few years and expressed thanks to the Vietnamese National Assembly for its assistance and support to the Lao National
Assembly.
