Statement
The Government of the Lao PDR was shocked and saddened by the fatal shooting of His Excellency Mr. ABE Shinzo, former Prime Minister of Japan, in Nara city on 08 July 2022.
The Government of the Lao PDR condemns an act of violence in all forms.
The Government of the Lao PDR expresses its deepest sympathies and condolences to the Government and people of Japan and to the family of former Prime Minister Mr. ABE Shinzo, who was able leader and made a significant contribution to promoting relations and cooperation in regional and international fora as well as promoting and deepening the long-standing relations and good cooperation between the Lao PDR and Japan.
