On the occasion of the 30^th Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the Republic of Belarus, I would like to convey to Your Excellency my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes and through you to all staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

It is my great pleasure to witness that over the past three decades, the long-standing friendship ties and good cooperation between our two countries have steadily grown and consolidated in multifaceted cooperation. By the same token, Laos and Belarus have consistently and effectively supported one another in the multilateral frameworks, especially the United Nations, ASEM and ASEAN.

I am convinced that our longstanding friendship ties and cooperation based on mutual trust and understating, will be further strengthened and enhanced to a higher plane for the benefits of our two nations, thus contributing to regional and international peace, stability and sustainable development cooperation in our respective region and the world at large.

May I avail myself of this opportunity to wish the long-standing ties of friendship and good cooperation between our two countries and ministries greater strength and progress.

Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the 30^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

I note with satisfaction the fruitful joint work that has provided us with an opportunity to solemnly celebrate this significant date in the history of our bilateral relations.

Over the past time, Belarus and Laos have achieved significant success in developing cooperation in political, trade, economic, and humanitarian spheres. The inter-parliamentary interaction is characterized by high dynamics both in bilateral format and on international platforms.

Over the past 30 years, our countries have become closer to each other. At the same time, it is obvious that the potential of Belarusian-Laotian cooperation is far from exhausted. We have yet to fully implement it. I hope for intensification of contacts between governmental agencies, organizations, and business circles of the two states.

Belarus pays significant attention to development of a constructive dialogue with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations chaired by Laos in 2004. I count on your support in ASEAN taking a positive decision on the accession of the Republic of Belarus to the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.

Please accept, Your Excellency, best wishes for good health, prosperity and new professional achievements in your responsible government activities, as well as the assurances of my highest consideration.
