On 6 August 2019 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR, H.E. Saleumxay KOMMASITH, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR, presided over the Flag Hoisting Ceremony to commemorate the 52^nd Anniversary of the Founding of ASEAN (8 August 1967-8 August 2019) and the 22^nd Anniversary of the Lao PDR’s Accession to ASEAN (23 July 1997-23 July 2019) attended by Ministers of the three ASEAN community pillars, Deputy Ministers, Ambassadors of ASEAN Member States and Dialogue Partnersaccredited as well as representatives from international organizations accredited to Lao PDR, and official from line-agencies concerned.

July 09^th 2019, Lao Foreign Minister Mr. Saleumxay KOMMASITH, on behalf of the government of Lao PDR presented Friendship medal to Mr. Dominic goh, Ambassador of Singapore to Lao PDR for his support and assistance in various sectors especially he also play an important role in promoting friendship, relations and cooperation between two countries, during his 4 years mission as ambassador of Singapore to Lao PDR.
