The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic presents its compliments to all Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations accredited to the Lao PDR and has the honour to inform the latter that in response to the situation of COVID-19 pandemic continues to be on the rise with nearly all countries in theworld affected. In the Lao PDR, despite the Government has seriously taken the preventive and protective measures over the past months, the infected cases have eventually occurred in the country and there is a risk of the outbreak nationwide. The Lao PDR will further implement the visa measures, beyond those already in place as follows:

Suspend all type of visa for all nationals at the Lao Diplomatic Mission abroad from 01^st April to 20^th April 2020 (the related information is available on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs “www.mofa.gov.la”.

            The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic avails itself of this opportunity to renew to all Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations accredited to the Lao PDR in Vientiane the assurances of its highest consideration.
